The report made by taxpayers in tax amnesty (TA) program is expected to reach IDR 2.000 trillion by the end of the first period or by 30 September 2016. The significant rise is mostly contributed by the declaration of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry entrepreneurs who joined TA on 27 September.
According to Directorate General of Taxation data until 5pm, Monday (26/9), shows that the declaration reaches IDR 1.915 trillion. The details: the local asset of IDR 1.301 trillion, global asset of IDR 515 trillion and repatriation of IDR 98.3 trillion. According to Tax Payment Slip, the tax fine reaches IDR 56.1 trillion or by 34% from target of IDR 165 trillion.
Bahana Securities said that the improvement of taxpayer participation made the government had the potential to reach fine of IDR 90-100 trillion.
Dasto Ledyanto, Director of Extensification and Appraisal Directorate General of Taxation, said that TA also increased a number of taxpayers by 2.6 million to 29.6 million. The additional taxpayers will increase the data base to achieve a higher potential revenue in the next few years. (*)
