Lebaran holiday, which falls in the second quarter of 2016, boosted the revenue of Ramaya, making this period the largest contributor throughout 2016. “The average sales contribution during Lebaran period accounted for 40% of annual sales,” said Setyadi Surya, Secretary of Ramayana.
According to its research, Phillip Capital assessed that Ramayana’s revenue in the second quarter will contribute 33% – 34% of total revenues, while sales contribution in the first quarter reached 18%, 26% in the third quarter and 21.9% in the fourth quarter.
Muhammad Farlan, an analyst at Phillip Capital, predicts Ramayana’s revenues this year to grow thin by 8.3% to Rp 5.99 trillion on an annual basis.
According to Daewoo Securities, albeit Ramayana’s revenue dropping on an annual basis at the end of the first quarter, the gross margin apparel sales business segment rose 30 basis points, from 29.5% in the first quarter of 2015 to 29.8% during the same period of this year. (*)
