PT Bank Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) received an idA + rating from the PT Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia (Pefindo) with a stable outlook, reflecting the company’s strong position in the banking sector. This rating is equivalent to smaller banks whose shares are not listed on exchanges, such as BPD South Sulawesi and West Sulawesi. It is lower than the rating received by Bank Resonia Perdania and QNB Bank Indonesia.
Although the reasons were outlined in the formal report, the rating was restricted by the bank’s asset quality and profitability. But one of the questions posed and considered carefully in the rating process was the role of Bosowa in Bukopin.
As proof, the PT Bank QNB Indonesia Tbk (BKSW) has lower profitability and similar asset quality with Bukopin, but QNB Bank Indonesia’s rating was higher.
