After the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) put PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI)’s stock in unusual market activity (UMA) category, BUMI’s transaction volume on the first trade session plunged sharply to 25,000 shares compared to yesterday’s 1.67 billion shares. Transaction value similarly plummeted to only Rp 2.1 million. However, its stock price climbed 13.16% to Rp 86 per share.
BUMI’s management said there is no material information which has not been informed to IDX. Dileep Srivastava, Director and Corporate Secretary of BUMI, said that the company has delivered information disclosure as to the bourse’s stipulation. “Please refer to information disclosure which we have submitted to IDX,” Srivastava said via email.
In disclosure of information, June 13, 2016, BUMI reported the Postponement for Debt Payment Obligation (PKPU) trial in the Central Jakarta Business Court held on June 9, 2016 accepted extension of Temporary PKPU to Permanent PKPU for BUMI by 22 days. “Aside from legal aspect, there is no impact on operational activities, financial conditions or company’s business continuity,” Srivastava said in a mail to IDX.
